Easiest way to remove chipped paint from outdoor porch railings?

I want to paint the railings. They have only been painted once when the house was built.Easiest way to remove chipped paint from outdoor porch railings?
Easy - yes. Lots of muscle and time, though. Sanding. Either a metal or wooden railing will need to be preped for paint and sanding with the correct sandpaper will be key. Of course there are power tools out there that will make the job go faster, then clean up all the dust and you're ready to prime and paint. Good luck. If the paint is chipping, it may be easier to scrape it first, get the big chunks off. Then sand, prime and paint.

Good Luck.
