Got to Walmart their are several spray bomb type paints such as rust paint, which even if it has a bit of rust it will coat it, practice on a piece of cardboard first.What is the best craft paint to use on outdoor tin items?
Seal the tin first with a good metal primer, then use artist's oil paint. It should stand up good outside without a sealer.
If you can find it, 1 Shot lettering enamel is wonderful paint. Covers really well, pretty much with one stroke, flows beautifully, good range of colours. No sealer needed.
Any store thaat sells paint will have a huge selection of paint to be used on metal. Rustoleum is one big name.
