What type of paint is best to paint an outdoor concrete basketball court? Looking to paint entire court.?

Wondering what type of paint is best to use on an outside concrete basketball court? Do I need an epoxy or would a non-slip acrylic latex paint work best? Looking to paint the entire court (lines will be done later). Any help/advice would be appreciated! What type of paint is best to paint an outdoor concrete basketball court? You have basically two options. You can stain it, or you can paint it with an acrylic paint designed for concrete. You would not want to paint it with an epoxy paint, because that paint is only for indoor use. It is too slippery for outdoors. I would personally stain it, because it is less maintenance than an acrylic concrete paint. I.M.H.O.What type of paint is best to paint an outdoor concrete basketball court? Fixit is part right. I live in Minnesota and we would never put epoxy down outside. However, my parents live in Arizona and we put down epoxy on their driveway six years ago and it looks great.

So if you are in a climate that does not get snow, this is what I would use:

It is a 40% solids epoxy that is tough as nails. Use some of the flake. it will keep it from being slippery when it's wet. If you want the monolithic color rather then the flake, mix in one quart of silica sand per kit in the second and final coat.

When painting your line use 1shot Sign Painters Paint: http://www.1shot.com/ Use top quality painter masking tape and rub the tape in before painting. That will give you nice crisp professional looking lines.
