Are car paints design for outdoor living?

Some of us dont have a close garage and our cars just sit outside whatever wheather there is, rain or shine.. Now, do the cars paint designed for rain-or-shine situation? Or does it fade faster? Unfortunately we dont have a closed garage in our place. Are car paints design for outdoor living?
Automotive paints are designed to resist exposure to several things, including UV rays, chemicals and solvents, salt, and other corrosives.

With leaving a car outside, the main thing that will wear your paint out faster is letting all the crud from rain, dust, dirt, etc. build up on the car, and having them rub off. This is what causes most of the light scratch and swirl marks on a vehicle, causing a dull appearance. Sunlight will also fade a paintjob, but not anytime soon. Modern chemistry has been turning out very durable paints lately. Are car paints design for outdoor living?
Nope. Sorry, automotive paint is designed for indoor use only.

What do you think the answer is? Cars are meant to be operated outdoors and exposed to the elements. Wouldn't it make sense that the paint is made to withstand this treatment? Just keep it clean and waxed, and it will last a long time, in a garage or not.
Depends on the year model make. More expensive cars have a pearl coat proteting it.Usually fade is related with older cars. But somtimes things can get disolved into the paint causing small stains.
