What is the best way to go about painting outdoor siding?

You don't say what type of siding you have, wood, composite or vinyl. Assuming it is wood or composite, you will need 2 coats of primer and 2 coats of latex. You can brush, roll or spray apply. Brushing and rolling take longer, but many feel you get better coverage than spraying. What is the best way to go about painting outdoor siding?

Just make sure you do all the proper preparations - washing, scraping, priming, etc. or the paint won't stay on for very long. Buy decent paint with UV protection and fade resistance too.

I've done my cedar sided house only 2x in 15 years and I only did it the 2nd time because I wanted to change the color.
with the canadian housewives song blairing in your daisy dukes and with a big glass of lemonade. then occasionally check the neighbours out.
TAke a piece of it to paint store
By outdoor siding do you mean T-1-11 or aluminum? If you can rent a paint sprayer this is the best way but you will still have to use a brush to get the paint to cover in the cracks. Depending on wood or aluminum will dictate what kind of primer to use. Ask your local hardware store paint department. They will have the answer to that.
