What removes old Paint from outdoor brick on a house?

Sandblasting will damage the bricks you need a pressure washere with a medium to fine tip stay back 2 feet to start with then come in a little closer till either the paint is coming off if you get within 8 inches or so, back off because you might damage bricks with the water pressure. Don't use a little walmart special go to a rental store and get a nice one with plenty of pressure.

Another thing to try is called GOOF-OFF is a paint remover, use this with a wire brush, no the goof off won't cause stains or damage your bricks, keep a garden hose close by cuz the paint will come off and look smeared from the wire brush the garden hose will wash away the cleaned area.

One more tip is Muratic Acid you will need chemical gloves saftey glasses and a wire brush, follow the directions.

Order i'd try is goof off $4.95 for a small can, will not hurt your skin

Pressure washer about $25.00 half day rental

Muratic Acid, Gloves, Eye protection $20.00
