Painting an Outdoor Fountain for a Client?

Hello- I am painting an outdoor fountain for a client 8ft diameter 7 feet high - What type of paint to use - would like to do a tuscan faux finis on it...any suggestions? what to charge? It's is for a California WineryPainting an Outdoor Fountain for a Client?

sherwin-williams masonry paint. there are several kinds but you want the flat finish. there is special preparations that you need to follow.. I don't sell paint but I know for a fact that sherwin-williams has what you need.. as for as price of painting.. I wouldn't do it for less than 3 to 5 k...good luck
You should probably ask this in sculpture {unless there's an architecture group around here somewhere.}
You MAY be able to stain the mortar, but you cannot paint a fountain successfully. That is, you can paint it, but the paint will quickly wear off. You would do better to attach new ceramic tiles in a color you prefer. For faux finishing outdoors, you expect the surface to crack off, just like it does in Venice, where Tuscan finishes originated.





Remember how the Venetians did it during the Renaissance. You should have learned that in your landscape architecture classes. Then think how much more water a fountain gets in a week than a Venetian wall does in a year. I think you will do a serious disservice to your client if you try to paint the fountain.
