Hi. I want to paint a mural (with a paint brush) on molded plastic outdoor furniture. It stays outdoors all year.
I've tried really good primer, acrylic paint, and a sealer but after one season, it started peeling.
Has anyone successfully painted outdoor plastic?Painting a mural on outdoor plastic lawn furniture?
Primers and paint do not adhere well to plastic - there is no absorption into the material. You can sand ( roughen) the plastic to improve the adhesion of the prime to the plastic.
Just a thought - how about automotive paint? Seems to weather well but not designed for brush application.Painting a mural on outdoor plastic lawn furniture?
I think trem clad makes a spraypaint for plastic furniture.
